Delivery Driver/Installer

Job Summary:

The over-the-road Driver/Installer will be on the road Monday through Friday most weeks, including overnight stays. Some weekend work and travel will be required on occasion, dependent on the size of the installation and customer requirements.
The Installation Process involves unloading, moving and installing heavy strength and fitness equipment, according to customers’ layout plans. Testing of all installed equipment to ensure proper function. Clean and wipe down all installed equipment. Clean up of the customer space, including the removal of all trash and packaging materials, sweeping floor areas, and ensuring the area is left in a satisfactory condition.
As a Legend Fitness Driver/Installer, you will work and interact directly with our Customers, and assist the company in building strong customer relationships, and a positive company image. Taking pride in your work, showing customers your professionalism in working with installs, and representing Legend in the best possible way is especially important in delivering a positive experience.

Driver/Delivery/Installer applicant requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid and clean driver’s license (No endorsements or restrictions). CDL preferred but not required.
  • Current and valid Drivers Medical Card.
  • Mechanical aptitude: technical assembly and installation experience with fitness equipment, or similar products is required.
  • The ability to lift up to 75lbs and maneuver heavy equipment.
  • The ability to operate an electric Lift Gate.
  • Excellent customer service skills and a professional appearance.
  • Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to achieve goals independently while still meeting deadlines.
  • Ability to supervise day labor, as required on certain projects.

Quality Control Inspector

As Quality Control Inspector you will be responsible for performing a series of inspections and functional tests of all Finished Products and In-process assemblies to ensure that they meet all visual and functional quality standards and requirements.  As QC you will be required to monitor in-process controls throughout the manufacturing process, up to and including final assembly.  QC will perform mechanical & functional tests of all finished products to ensure they operate correctly, and meet all established quality standards. QC Inspectors primary responsibility is to ensure customers receive products free from defects in fit, function and finish that meet and exceed the customers’ expectations.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform 100% final inspections and functional tests of all Finished Products prior to shipping.
  • Accept of Reject out of spec finished products, assemblies or sub-assemblies.
  • Remove all products or materials from the process that fail to meet specifications.
  • Identify quality issues and have them corrected by the appropriate work center or departments.
  • Monitor production processes to ensure that they meet production quality standards.
  • Recommend adjustments to the assembly or production process to correct any out of specification products, assemblies or sub-assemblies.
  • Identify opportunities for product and process improvements.
  • Develop comprehensive inspection checklists for all finished product categories.
  • Record and report all inspection data, reworks, rejections and failures.
  • Complete quality reports, basic data entry and other required documentation.
  • Maintain the highest Housekeeping Standards in all work areas.
  • Other duties as assigned by management.

Job Requirements:

  • Must be physically able to lift and move items, products and finished goods weighing up to 75 pounds (35 kilograms), unassisted, as an essential function of the position.
  • Must have the ability to read and understand blueprints, product drawings and specifications.
  • Able to correctly and accurately inspect all attributes of all finished products, assemblies and sub-assemblies manufactured by the company.
  • Able to complete functional tests of all finished products.
  • Working knowledge of SPC and the ability to implement and manage statistical process control procedures.
  • Good written communication. Will compile and send reports & information to supervisors and managers.
  • Good verbal communication. Must be able to communicate effectively within all departments and personnel, at all levels.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and Windows.
  • Able to work without supervision and also as part of a Team.
  • Analytical, logical thought process and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Functional knowledge of strength training and fitness equipment is advantageous, but not essential.

Qualification Requirements:

  • Minimum of HS Diploma or GED. 
  • Associates Degree or higher would be beneficial.
  • 3+ years verifiable experience in a volume-manufacturing environment required.
  • 2+ years experience in a QC/QA role is required.
  • Knowledge of SPC systems and procedures.
  • Understanding of ISO9000 QMS is desired but not essential.
  • Industry Certification would be a plus.

Production Supervisor

Duties and Responsibilities: 

As a Production Supervisor, you will manage the metal prep, cutting, welding and fabrication, as well as oversee the powder coating and assembly production processes and personnel to ensure a high quality product is delivered on-time, according to predetermined production schedules. You will supervise all employees within your assigned areas to build a culture of high performance and accountability. Supervisor will develop weekly/daily process schedules derived from Master Production Schedules, and will report directly to the Sr. Production Manager.

Supervisory Responsibilities:  

  • Responsible for daily/weekly shift schedules to include: work station assignment, employee training, overtime assignment, and manpower loads.
  • Sets schedules to maintain production levels as dictated by demand.
  • Oversees safety and promotes a safety-conscious work environment.
  • Communicates with management and other departments to maintain alignment of goals and schedules.
  • Builds a successful team by training, communicating, and measuring performance.
  • Coordinates shift startups, shutdowns, and change overs.
  • Trains and mentors team leads and employees.
  • Conducts employee performance reviews.
  • Coordinates with Production Manager for appropriate staffing levels.
  • Completes shift paperwork.

Job Requirements:

  • Extensive experience working in metal fabrication and welding operations.
  • 8+ years steel/metal fabrication experience.
  • 5 years of supervisory experience.
  • Ability to develop and execute weekly production schedules.
  • Experience with management of a crew of 20+ employees.
  • Experience maintaining manufacturing metrics.
  • Ability to read prints, interpret drawings and specifications.
  • Extensive experience with metal preparation processes, including steel cutting saws, mill and lathe machines, metal workers, high capacity tube bender, and other related process equipment.
  • Proficient MIG/TIG welder.
  • Experience with setup and running of high capacity tube bending machines.
  • Ensures all processes meet quality specifications by utilizing tape measures, squares and understanding/experience of measurements in fractions.
  • Experienced in performing basic machine and equipment maintenance.
  • Licensed and able to operate forklifts for moving large loads of steel.
  • Will maintain all housekeeping policies, and ensure cleanliness of all areas and work stations, at all times.
  • Ability to work in a team environment with strong, positive communication skills.
  • Good computer skills, including Excel, Word and Outlook.
  • Understanding of Lean, 5S, Six Sigma concepts.

Qualification Requirements:

  • Minimum of High School Diploma or GED.
  • Associates Degree or higher, or at least 8 years applicable industry work experience.
  • Proven track record within manufacturing supervision/management.
  • Significant work experience in a high volume metal products manufacturing environment.  
  • Understanding production costs to include waste, downtime, scrap and re-work.

Drill Press Operator

Legend Fitness is looking to add a Drill Press Operator to our high production environment. Hours of operation are 7AM to 3:45PM Monday through Friday, with some overtime required as needed (may include Saturdays).

  • Must submit to full background check and pass a pre-employment drug screening.

Production Mig Welder

Legend Fitness is looking to add a Production Mig Welder to our high production environment. Hours of operation are 7AM to 3:45PM Monday through Friday, with some overtime required as needed (may include Saturdays).

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum two years experience on tubes, flat bars, and angles.
  • Must submit to full background check and pass a pre-employment drug screening.
  • Must be able to lift 60 pounds.

General Labor

Legend Fitness is looking for General Labor to assist in our high production environment. Hours of operation are 7AM to 3:45PM Monday through Friday, with some overtime required as needed (may include Saturdays).

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

  • Able to lift/push/pull at least 50 pounds in a production environment.
  • Previous experience in grinding and sanding a plus.
  • Must submit to full background check and pass a pre-employment drug screening.
